Elior: the new formative year of the “Chef Ambassador”

Elior, leader in Italy in collective catering, opens the new training year dedicated to its “Chef Ambassadors”, an innovative training program for the company’s cooks, who every year prepare over 106 million meals served in more than 2,400 restaurants and sales points.

The initiative, presented with the participation of chef Carlo Cracco, sees the involvement of 43 “Chef Ambassadors”, who have the opportunity to access technical training to deepen and improve the knowledge related to the transformation and the preparation of all foods.

The training sessions deal with the valorisation techniques, among others, of meat, fish, vegetables, dairy products, cereals, applying to each of them the principles of the Mediterranean diet, a key element in Elior’s gastronomic offer in his multiple variations and destinations.

The “Ambassadors” are then called upon to spread the techniques and values learned to all the cooks who work in Elior; the course program also includes some sessions dedicated to training and teaching techniques, with the aim of fostering better interaction between the “Ambassadors” and colleagues and ensuring that everyone in the company is properly trained and embraces the same principles.

Over 8,000 recipes have been developed as part of the courses held at the Elior Food Academy and the chefs have tested half a ton of raw materials, with a strong investment in team growth to ensure quality and standard processes in all the restaurants on the national territory.
