CIBÒ SO GOOD, the festival of food and wine excellences in Bologna

The third edition of Cibò So Good (Palazzo Re Enzo – Bologna), entitled “Sapori d’Italia: the festival of food and wine excellences” kicks off. The protagonists of this tasty appointment are all the specialties of the Italian gastronomic tradition, DOP, IGP and TIPICI products.

Until March 24, 2019 these products will be enhanced through cooking classes, tastings and StoryCooking. Among the partners of the Festival is the Patata di Bologna D.O.P., the first Italian potato to be awarded the Protected Designation of Origin. It is grown and packaged in Bologna, where ideal climate and soil are combined with production techniques handed down over time, to obtain a product guaranteed by the Protection Consortium.

The Potato of Bologna D.O.P. will be on display and available for purchase, but above all it will be the protagonist of the festival with two special events (free, with limited number of seats) that will be held on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.

The first appointment on Saturday, March 23 – 6.30 pm, Salone del Podestà – will be a guided tasting to discover the Patata di Bologna D.O.P. entitled: “Are all potatoes the same? NO!” Here you can appreciate the quality, authenticity and organoleptic properties of D.O.P. Bolognese and production values: sustainability, production techniques and natural factors, but also historicity and respect for tradition. Sunday 24 March – 2.30pm, Salone del Podestà – the Food Blogger Katia Baldrighi from “Pappa e Cicci”, will prepare Focaccette di Patata from Bologna D.O.P. with a tasty and stringy filling.
