Light and healthy: it’s Sha Tin Honey Cake

It’s always time for a sweet break. And in summer, despite all, mid morning and mid afternoon are the perfect moments…

Pastry Chef Kelvin Lai of Patisserie at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Sha Tin has dedicated himself to creating a Sha Tin Honey Cake which has a perfect balance of sponginess and moisture, by using the pure honey from the Wing Wo Apiary near the Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery in Sha Tin.  Effective in hydrating skin and easing digestive problems, the honey offers an intense flavour and flowery fragrance that is truly refreshing.

Baked in a tailor-made wooden base with a traditional method, its exquisitely airy texture exudes the original flavours of natural pure honey.  The pleasantly sweet honey flavour together with a honeycomb pattern beautifully printed on top of the cake will definitely delight adults and kids alike.

Located on the Lobby level, Patisserie is offering an extensive selection of homemade pastries, breads, cookies, chocolates, cakes, and a variety of fine wines.
